Photo Competition - Terms of Entry
1 Entry
a. The Competition is open to all individuals who are resident in Brighton and Hove, except employees of the Organiser and any other competition sponsors, and their families
b. Each entrant may submit up to a maximum of five photos of maximum size of 10x8
c. The theme for each entry should be ‘Festivity in Brighton and Hove’ and should be taken within the city of Brighton and Hove
d. All entries should be sent in hard copy, with the name and phone number of the entrant clearly printed on the back, and accompanied by a copy of this entry form duly completed, to:
BrightonGrid Photography Competition BrightonGrid PO Box 140 Hove BN3 4WS OR Jessops125 Queens Road, Brighton, BN1 3WB
and must be received no later than 1700 hours on 15th August 2004
e. By submitting an entry each entrant confirms that (s)he is the photographer and the owner of all legal and moral rights in the entry, and assigns all rights in the entry to the Organiser
f. Entries will not be returned. No responsibility is accepted for lost entries. Proof of dispatch will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
2 Judging
a. Entries will be judged by a panel of three, consisting of Mr Richard Taylor, Photo editor of the Brighton Argus, Mr Bob Curtis of Bob Curtis Photography and Ms. Caraline Brown, CEO of Midnight Communications Ltd.
b. The Judges’ decision on the winning entries will be final
c. The Judges’ decision is expected to be announced by 31st August 2004. The winners will be informed by email for details of the presentation party.
3 Exhibition of entries
a. So far as practicable all entries will be displayed at an exhibition to be shown in Eastbourne and Hove in Joogleberry Playhouse in September 2004
b. Winning entries and a selection of other entries will also be displayed on the BrightonGrid website at www.BrightonGrid.co.uk for the remainder of 2004
4 General
a. The decision of the Organiser on any matters arising from the competition or these terms (other than judging entries) is final.
b. By submitting an entry each entrant agrees to be bound by these rules.
